Chloe's Birthday!

October 13, 2012
On Wednesday, my sweet girl turned 4 years old!!!

I was at work when she woke up that morning, but wanted her to know that I was thinking of her on her special day, so the night before I prepared a little surprise for her;) I found the idea on pinterest {here}.

Since it was our turn to bring snack to Chloe's Rainbows meeting on the same day as her birthday, I also got to work making cupcakes for a small birthday celebration. (It's nice when the stars align like that!) I took a few pictures just in case the cupcakes didn't quite make it in the same fashion that they left the house.

I ad libbed on some of the instructions, found {here}, but I still thought that they turned out cute:)

I took off at noon so that I could spend some of the day with my new four-year-old and have enough time to set up a party table before Rainbows.

Chloe was all smiles as she posed for pictures before our car ride to get her a birthday surprise.

Chloe has been begging us to get the aquarium that has been offered to us by my mom and she always wants to stop and look at the fish, so...we brought her to Petco to get a pink aquarium (that now sits on her dresser) and pick out a couple of new fish.

Granted it wasn't as exciting as getting a new puppy or kitty, which were Chloe's first guesses about her surprise as we arrived at the pet store, but she just loved it!

Later that day, we headed to Rainbows.

Here was our little Disney Princess party set-up.

I also found a cute little smocked outfit with the Disney Princesses.

Ms. Dodi, Chloe's Rainbows leader, took a sweet picture of us.

During the last 15 or so minutes of the meeting, we had a small celebration for Chloe!

Evan even joined in on the fun, even if he did refuse to take any pictures. (He won't be a Rainbow until next year when he turns 3 years old.)

It was such a fun day! Chloe loved it and all the phone calls that she got from our family members!

P.S. Chloe's birthday celebration from earlier today with her girlfriends will be featured in an upcoming blog:)
