Easter Photos!

We received our edited CD from Honey B Photography by Denise Edge, so I thought that I'd share:)

It was such a lovely day and these photos couldn't be any more adorable! I'm hoping that the weather this weekend will be just as nice for Easter!

My Lucky Charms

March 18, 2013 3 comments
As I've mentioned in other posts, celebratory meals usually occur at breakfast time. For St. Patrick's Day, I decided to keep it simple.

We began our morning with a sugar rush of Lucky Charms cereal with green milk and chocolate coins!

After allowing me to take this picture, Evan promptly removed his headband and called it "silly."  I could see Chris's face as he was saying it!

I'm sure that I overlooked them, but I couldn't find gold coins at Wally World, so I settled on these Easter chocolate coins. And yes, Chloe has a boo-boo on her nose. She fell going up the stairs last night:(

I know that Chris would kill me if he knew that I posted this pic, but it was too funny to pass up! Lucky Charms, they're magically delicious:P

Afterwards, we got ready for church and took a few festive photos.

After service, we returned home and went on the hunt for a four-leaf clover.

Maybe someone can settle this argument. Chris claims that four-leaf clovers don't exist, but I know that I found a few as a kid!

And after lunch, we enjoyed some root beer floats!

That was our St. Paddy's Day, but any reason to celebrate with my littles makes me happy. They truly have made me the luckiest Momma in the world and they're my pot of gold at the end of every rainbow! (Cheesy, I know, but so true!) I hope everyone enjoyed their St. Patrick's Day!!!

Our Saturday:)

Guess what we did?!!

Pics with bunnies and chicks!!!!!

Evan was so funny at first. Let's just say some chocolate bribery was involved in getting him to cooperate with taking pictures. Making demands, and the possibility of him crying, was not going to work in this situation.

He eventually warmed up and was agreeable.

Chloe was so excited to hold live chicks and bunnies.

Evan is fearful of any costumed character...if it wasn't totally evident by his reaction to Santa, seen {here}! I can only imagine how badly he would have acted if he had met the local mall's Easter Bunny this year, but I knew that he would love holding live animals. Blame their animal-loving spirit on their Momma. I started college as a Pre-Vet/Microbiology major...

I can't wait to see how the actual photos turn out!

Also, the littles picked up their painted ceramics while we were out running errands.

I'll confess. Evan may have had a "little" help painting his. Chloe did most of her painting on her own. I just did some of the detail painting.

I'm decorating our mantle for spring and these took a prime spot on it. Evan was upset when he saw that I made his car look "pretty." His response was, " Take it out!" Ha!

It was such a beautiful day this past Saturday and I love that so many of our activities centered around Spring. I'm ready for the warmer weather and for Easter!:)

Weekend Update!

We got the weekend off to a great start. The littles attended sweet Charlotte's birthday party at the ice rink.

Lola, my mother, usually takes the littles to our local mall when she babysits and their excursion ends by watching the ice skaters at the rink. However, they've never been on the ice. Evan was a little too young to skate, but it was a real treat for Chloe.

Her first experience on the ice and she's standing all by herself! The party was earlier in the day while I was at work, so Chris took these pics with his phone camera...please forgive the quality.

Don't let the last picture fool you. Chloe spent most of her time on the ice holding on to Daddy's hands:)

A silly shot of the littles:) I love Evan's expression and how the heart bracelet encircles Chloe's eye!

Chris went on a canoeing trip this past weekend (yes, in the miserable cold!), so the littles and I found a few activities to keep us occupied. We caught up with our old friends Diana and Sophia over dinner and a movie, slept in late, made another donut run, and even squeezed in a little painting at a local ceramics shop. I will have some photos of our finished ceramics in another blog post. I let the ball drop on this one and didn't get any photos of my littles painting their ceramics:(

However, here were a couple of pictures from our latest donut run!

It's nice to have a weekend every once in a while to catch up on housework, sleep, with old friends, and especially with my littles:)
