These days I feel like I'm living a distracted life, wanting to do so much with so little time. I'm having trouble focusing on the task at hand, including blogging. I'm hoping that as the end of the school year craziness winds down that my mind will be clearer and I'll be able to focus a little bit more.
It's so easy to get caught up in "doing life" and not enjoying life. One of the most fulfilling aspects of blogging is that it allows me the time for thoughtful reflection on recent events...
One of these recent events was Evan's class Easter party.(Chloe's class didn't have an Easter celebration.)
I made a Bunny in a Jar for Chloe's and Evan's teachers and few of our family members. The littles loved giving these out as Easter surprises!
Evan's class had an Easter party at a classmate's house.
They had a potato sack race, which Evan refused to participate in. I asked him later why he didn't want to do it and he told me that he didn't want to get dirty.
Also, they had an egg relay race.
Then, it was time for the Easter Egg Hunt. I was so busy running around with Evan that I didn't get a single good shot of the action, but here is Evan with his eggs. We had paper shred in the bottom of the basket, so don't let it fool you. Each kid found 13 eggs.
We also got in a class picture.
Afterwards, the class had an Easter brunch and we had fun with photo props.
We didn't forget to take a picture with Mrs. Helms.
Evan is Mr. Personality at home, so it was a bit of a shock to see his sweet and shy personality with his classmates. I hope that as he continues to mature that he will gain confidence. Both Chris and I had very introverted personalities at his age, so it may just be a family trait. Either way, the world needs all kids of people and he'll be perfectly fine as a sweet and shy man.
We had a fun time at his Easter party. I do love spending one-on-one time with each of my littles!

We sure did spend a lot of time with bunnies this past Easter!
These pictures were taken by a local photographer offering outdoor mini-sessions. Here were a few of her captures.
Lola (my mom) also took the littles to take pictures with the Easter Bunny at our local mall. On this day, they had live bunnies. I have to say, I'm really impressed with the company that does the mall pictures. Do you remember our Santa pictures? Along with the package, you could purchase digital files uploaded to an online gallery at a minimal cost. Lola knows that I love digital photos!
I hope you enjoyed our bunny pictures! I hope to blog about our Easter soon:)

This past spring we decided to keep life simple. We ran around the spring before from practices to games to recitals. It was a bit much.
Since Evan was age-eligible for both T-ball and soccer this year, we let the kids decide on which one sport that they wanted to play. They decided on mini indoor soccer, which was the better option for Chris and me, since they played on the same team.
Before every game, the kids were taught a new word that helped them learn about being good sportsmen. We also prayed before every game. This was a church league, and I loved being able to incorporate our faith into the sports that the kids play.
We had a few fans come to watch the games. I managed to miss getting a picture of the littles and a few of their fans (Aunt Dana, Uncle Tommy, and Uncle Jose), but we're so thankful and appreciative that you came to watch. It really does make the littles happy to see you up in the stands:)
This year, the league also had a soccer banquet. We ate pizza and the kids were presented with goody boxes.
I signed up to bring snacks to the final game of the season. I contacted a local baker who whipped up these iced sugar cookies! Chloe and Evan made the sweet card for Coach Wes to thank him for his time and dedication in teaching them to play soccer.
We took a few last pictures to remember the season.
That was our 2015 mini soccer season! Goooo Orange!!!

I don't think I took enough action shots during the season;)
