Blogging Milestone

July 18, 2013
I have been feeling a little drained over these past couple of weeks, so I decided to take a little blogging break. To be honest, I've been taking a break from a lot of our extracurricular activities. I blame it on the weather. It has been raining on an almost daily basis for a couple of weeks now and the forecast doesn't look that promising for this next week. Boo!

In fact, I had big plans to create a blog post marking the 1 year anniversary of my first blog post, but that day came and went (in case you were wondering, it was July 10th)...and I was okay with that. I did manage to squeeze in my 101st blog post before that date. My goal was 100. And to date, I have surpassed 5,000 blog views, many of them from blog spammers:/

Initially, when I started this blog it was to document our lives, so that Chloe and Evan would have a "journal"of their young lives, something they could look back on when it was long forgotten. Also, it was a great way to share our lives with the family and friends that we don't get to see as often. I disliked posting pictures and feeling like I wanted to say so much more about that event or that time in our lives and blogging gave me an outlet.

However, through blogging I have come in contact with a whole blogging community. It's so refreshing to have a peek into others' lives and realize that although we all do it different, it's special in its own way:) The entertainment, the laughs, but most of all, the support, is beautiful. No other word could describe it.

I've learned to look past my shortcomings, because we all have them, and just to be satisfied with what I have and how I do it as a Christian, wife, mother, sister, daughter, and friend. I decided from the very beginning, that my blog was going to be a positive one. I've dealt with my issues, dilemmas, and heartbreaks on my own time, but that's not to say that I haven't had them. From reading other blogs and coming in contact with other bloggers, I've realized that what seems to be, isn't always what is. This blog has provided some personal growth for me as well:)

Sorry to go off on that tangent...

All that to say,

Happy 1st Year Blogging Anniversary!!!
