Evan's Class Easter Party

April 19, 2015
These days I feel like I'm living a distracted life, wanting to do so much with so little time. I'm having trouble focusing on the task at hand, including blogging. I'm hoping that as the end of the school year craziness winds down that my mind will be clearer and I'll be able to focus a little bit more.

It's so easy to get caught up in "doing life" and not enjoying life. One of the most fulfilling aspects of blogging is that it allows me the time for thoughtful reflection on recent events...

One of these recent events was Evan's class Easter party.(Chloe's class didn't have an Easter celebration.)

I made a Bunny in a Jar for Chloe's and Evan's teachers and few of our family members. The littles loved giving these out as Easter surprises!

Evan's class had an Easter party at a classmate's house.

They had a potato sack race, which Evan refused to participate in. I asked him later why he didn't want to do it and he told me that he didn't want to get dirty.

Also, they had an egg relay race.

Then, it was time for the Easter Egg Hunt. I was so busy running around with Evan that I didn't get a single good shot of the action, but here is Evan with his eggs. We had paper shred in the bottom of the basket, so don't let it fool you. Each kid found 13 eggs.

We also got in a class picture.

Afterwards, the class had an Easter brunch and we had fun with photo props.

We didn't forget to take a picture with Mrs. Helms.

Evan is Mr. Personality at home, so it was a bit of a shock to see his sweet and shy personality with his classmates. I hope that as he continues to mature that he will gain confidence. Both Chris and I had very introverted personalities at his age, so it may just be a family trait. Either way, the world needs all kids of people and he'll be perfectly fine as a sweet and shy man.

We had a fun time at his Easter party. I do love spending one-on-one time with each of my littles!

  1. Those bunnies in the jar are super cute!! My kids school/church does a breakfast w/ Easter bunny and egg hunt, but no class parties :( That is neat that they did it at one of the classmates houses.
