Sundays in the Park

May 4, 2013
Our neighborhood association hosts a Spring Concert Series in the park on Sundays for 8 weeks every year. Each week a different local musician plays and we and our neighbors grab a few drinks and head down to the park.

It's fun for everyone. It's the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon, relaxing in the park and listening to good music.

The kids can play on the playground equipment or they can play on the inflatables that are supplied by one of our neighbors.

Did I mention that our Sundays are pretty relaxing?! Ha!

We always love running into our favorites, like Aunt Sara and Rob, or our sweet friends, Diana and Sophia.

Chloe and Sophia

Chloe, Evan, and Sophia are quite the trio!

They keep themselves entertained by finding all sorts of gross neat things.

I was asked to hold this worm while they played, but respectfully declined;)

In addition, they like to catch tadpoles in the the ditch that runs alongside the park. (We keep a close eye on them.)

Don't worry, this little guy was promptly returned to the water.

Looking at these pictures, I am reminded of how I live in one of the best neighborhoods in the city! There is such a sense of community and it's the kind of neighborhood where children can grow up playing outside. We're looking forward to our next few Sundays in the park.
